Rachel Greenwell Henry, 58, of Taylorsville, died on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Norton Women's and Children's Hospital in Louisville. Born in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Greenwell, Jr., and Mary Lucy Sullivan Greenwell. She was a lifelong resident of Spencer County and a member of the old Big Spring Bloomfield Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville and Hanover College, she was the manager and the recognizable, personal icon of her family business, Greenwell's Propane in Taylorsville. Her hobbies included gardening and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Jeanne Henry.

Her survivors include her husband, Larry Michael Henry of Taylorsville; brother, Dr. Henry Greenwell III, and his wife, Ann, of Louisville; sisters, Mary Jane Greenwell of Louisville, and Jennifer Baxter and her husband, Bo, of Harrodsburg; nieces, Lucy Garrison and her husband, Mark, of Bowling Green, Dollie Greenwell and her husband, Devin Wells, of Louisville, and Lee Baxter and Mary Baxter, both of Harrodsburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville, with Reverend Mavis Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Big Spring Cemetery in Nelson County. Visitation was 3 p.m., until 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville, and expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kentucky Affiliate, 1201 Story Avenue, Suite 205, Louisville, Kentucky 40206. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hall-Taylor Home of Taylorsville, and online condolences may be expressed at www.halltaylorfuneralhomes.com.
