A Taylorsville resident, Mrs. Wanda Lee Bentley, age 65, passed away June 12, 2017, at her residence. She was born December 6, 1951, in Nelson County to the late Herbert and Nellie Haydon Hardin. She was an employee of AFL in Shelbyville. Wanda was a collector of many different things, she loved her flowers and Christmas. She had two dogs, Puppy and Bridgett, who she loved, and they worshiped her. She and her husband enjoyed going to Flea Markets and Goodwill stores on the weekends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Nation; and brothers, Ray, Gene, William, and Joe Curtsinger, and Phillip Hardin.

She is survived by her husband, James Bentley; sons, Kevin Tapp of Taylorsville, Clayton (Shannon) Shelburne of Chaplin; stepson, Jamie Bentley of Shelbyville; stepdaughter, Melissa Stam of Frankfort; sister, Martha (Tom) Richardson of Fairfield; brothers, James (Machella) Hardin of Cox's Creek, Bobby (Louise) Hardin of Chaplin, Larry Hardin, and Leon Curtsinger, both of Taylorsville; and grandchildren, Emma, Clay, Paige, Madalyn, Jayden, and Victoria.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Lee Bentley were held Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Bro. Will Sipes officiated. Interment was in Valley Cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 12 noon until 8 p.m. and Saturday after 9 a.m. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home of Taylorsville was in charge of arrangements.
