Geraldine Williams entered Heaven's gates on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at the age of 76.

Geraldine worked many years at General Electric and made many wonderful friends there.
She enjoyed bowling, going on family vacations to Gulf Shores and the Smoky Mountains. She also enjoyed spending time on her computer, staying connected with friends and family through email, Facebook and Farmville.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Mount Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burnom and Gertrude Vires; her brother, Shelby Bivens; and sisters, Maybelle Moore, Betty Truax and Marilyn Jane Goodlett.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 57 years, Paul Williams of Mount Washington; her daughters, Carolyn Williams Erwin and her husband, Jim, of Bryant, Ark.,
Pamela Williams Cottner and her husband, Dennis, of Mount Washington, and Melinda Williams Friday, of Louisville; six grandsons who adored her, Joshua Hoots, Matt Cottner and his wife, Christy, Trey Erwin, Eric Cottner, Doug Friday, Hans Friday, and their father, Mathyew Friday; one great-granddaughter, Addison Cottner; two brothers, Donnie (Terri) and Joe (Betty) Vires; and one sister, Joan Carter (Tommy); brothers-in-law, Irvin Williams (Mary Elizabeth) and Leon Goodlett; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Service: Friday, Feb. 19, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mount Washington, with burial in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville
