A Taylorsville resident, Mr. Carl Thomas Sweasy, 80, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Baptist Healthcare in Louisville.
He was a well known resident and farmer in Taylorsville and a tool and die maker at General Electric, where he worked for 52 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lester and Bessie Martin Sweasy, and two brothers, William Sweasy and James Clifford Sweasy.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathryn Rogers Sweasy; two daughters, Patricia Hagan and her husband, H.G., and Karen Young and her husband, David; one son, Wayne Sweasy; two grandsons, Bryan Sweasy and his wife, Catie, and Matthew Young and his wife, Maureen; and five great-grandchildren.
The family is grateful for the care from Darline Dennison.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville.
Services: Wednesday, May 8, at Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville, with Bro. Norman Coe officiating. Interment: Big Spring Cemetery.
