AUBREY, Clifford Paul - Diamond Lake  
AUBREY, Clifford Paul Clifford Paul Aubrey passed away at Diamond Lake, WA., on June 27, 2015. Cliff was born June 3, 1953 in Spokane, WA to Ronald and Margery Aubrey. He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1971. Cliff married Kim Hunt in 1981. Cliff and Kim were happily married for 34 years, and had two wonderful children, Derek and Lacey. They resided in Spokane until they moved to Diamond Lake in 1994, where they had previously spent many great summers. Cliff was a truck driver for 26 years and after retiring, started working for Newport School District. Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Kim, and their children, Derek (Mandy) Aubrey and Lacey Aubrey, grandson Dylan, his mother, Margery, brothers Craig Aubrey and Keith (Annie) Aubrey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cliff's father, Ronald, preceded him in death in 2014. One of Cliff's greatest passions was music, especially rock and roll. He loved playing his acoustic and electric guitars. His willingness to help others, his big heart, and odd sense of humor made him a great husband, father, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Newport High School. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Newport High School ASB to help students pay for extracurricular activities. Please send to NSD, PO Box 70, Newport, WA 99156. ABSEC, Bertha Jansen "BJ" - Spokane  
ABSEC, Bertha Jansen "BJ" BJ was born on March 17, 1920 in Turton, S. Dakota to Peter and Cora Jansen; she passed away on June 18, 2015 in Spokane Valley, Washington at the age of 95. She resided in Kittitas and Ellensburg, WA from 1937- 1970. BJ married Martin Absec in 1971 and moved to Coeur d' Alene, ID; then Hayden Lake, and spent winters in Yuma, AZ; they also enjoyed traveling internationally. She was very talented and creative in singing, poetry, knitting, crocheting, and loved to dance, especially polka. She joyfully expressed her love of life, humor, and compassion to all who were around her and was a most loving and devoted mother, wife and friend. BJ is survived by her husband Martin of Spokane Valley and three children: Paula Ross of Redmond, WA, Shari Thomas of Wenatchee, and Kevin Absec of New York City; as well as three grandchildren: Jeff Ross of Spokane, Stephanie Moore of Ephrata, and Sean Thomas of Renton. She has seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. BJ was preceded in death by her two sons: Pat and Sandy; and her three brothers: Russell Jansen, Peter Jansen and LeRoy Jansen. A celebration of life ceremony will be scheduled in August.

ATKINSON, Glenn Amos - Spokane  
ATKINSON, Glenn Amos (Age 82) Glenn was born on December 31, 1932 in Fruitland, WA to Frank and Ruby Atkinson. He passed away in Spokane, WA on June 26, 2015. Glenn graduated from Reardan High School. He was stationed at Fort Lewis for two years while in the Army. He worked for Kopczynski Construction for several years before starting his own Atkinson Construction Company. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed playing pranks on family and friends. He enjoyed being with his family, traveling, going to basketball games, hunting, fishing, photography and staying at the family cabin at Waitts Lake. Survivors include his wife Betty Jean; brother Richard (Judy); sister Iva (Carl) and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pall bearers are Frank Atkinson, Rick Atkinson, John Atkinson, Dan Stultz, Leroy Carnes, Dwayne Paul, Chuck Ralph and Ernie Brenden. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 2 pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 W Government Way, Spokane, WA. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Avalon Care Center for all their kindness and care for Glenn.
