MARSHALL, George - Spokane  
MARSHALL, George (Age 82) Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 19, 2014. Survived by his wife Ruth Marshall and children Glenda, George Jr., Pennie, Tammy, Tina, Teresa, Vicki, Cindie, Sharon, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George was one of 11 children. He served in the Army from February 1953 to December 1954, active during the Korean War. He worked for Deer Park School District for 21 years and Knights Construction for 20 years, retiring at the age of 81. George will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend for his generosity, kind heart and willingness to help anyone. He will be forever loved and missed. A Memorial Service to be held January 10, 2015 at Deer Park Community Arts Center, 315 E. Crawford in Deer Park, WA., 99006, beginning at 1:00 PM, service at 2:00 PM, with potluck to follow.

PARDUN, Colleen  
PARDUN, Colleen "Judy" "Pete" After a courageous battle with cancer, Judy passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on December 15, 2014. Judy was born December 21, 1935 in Dunseith, ND to William and Ethel (Schwab) Gottbreht. In 1945 the family, which then included one older sister and one younger brother, moved to the Spokane area. She worked at Shriners Hospital for many years and retired from Regency Care Center in 2008. She married Eugene Pardun in 1954 and together they raised four children. They moved from Spokane to the Tum Tum community in 1976 and she was a founding member of the Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She was a woman of faith, family and service. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, great-grandson Daniel Leggett and sister Marilyn Berkey. Survived by twin daughters, Tina (Jeff) Holbrook, Teri (David) Warner; two sons, Craig (Cindy) Pardun, Scott (Gabby) Pardun; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by a brother, Bill (Doris) Gottbreht and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. at Lake Spokane Community Center, 6424 Hwy 291, Nine Mile Falls, WA 99026 (near Hwy marker 18). Memorial service Saturday, December 27 at 11:00 A.M. at the community center with a reception to follow at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant 5978 Hwy 291 Suncrest, WA. Officiating Fr. Tim Clancy and Deacon Craig Blomgren. Special thanks to the staff at Northwest Cancer Care Center and Tracy with Hospice of Spokane for their superior care and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lady of the Lake Building Fund P.O. Box 447 Nine Mile Falls WA 99026 in Judy's honor. REPP, Linda Lou - Spokane  
REPP, Linda Lou (Age 72) Linda Lou Repp of Spokane WA, passed away peacefully in her sleep, her companion Toby by her side, on December 13, 2014. Linda was born October 19, 1942 in Jamestown, ND. After settling in Spokane with her family, Linda graduated from Central Valley High School, and went on to cosmetology school. Linda married Mike Repp in 1966. They went on to raise two sons while living in both Billings, Mt, and Spokane, WA. Linda spent many years beautifying the public as a Cosmetologist, working in Spokane and Billings, most recently with Super-cuts where she was a district manager. After retiring from hair dressing, Linda stayed active working for Anderson Merchandising. Linda's latest venture was with the local neighborhood S.C.O.P.E. office, where she volunteered and touched a whole new group of people. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, her bff Andrea, reading on the deck and doting over her dog Toby. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Thelma Anderson (Spokane); and Mike Repp (Spokane). Linda is survived by two brothers: Larry and Jo Anne Anderson (Spokane), Jerry and Lois Anderson (Spokane); a sister Cathy and Doug Kuhn; her sons: Tim and Lori Repp (Billings), Pat and Mary K. Repp (Spokane); numerous nieces and nephews; three grand kids; and one great-grandson; and her beloved and spoiled dog Toby. The family is planning a Celebration of Linda's life on January 17, 2015, from 4-8pm. Mirabeau Hotel (1100 North Sullivan in Spokane Valley). In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be sent to SCOPE, at E. 12710 Sprague Ave Spokane Valley 99216.

SANDSTROM, Beatrice D. (Reiber) - Spokane  
SANDSTROM, Beatrice D. (Reiber) Died December 21, 2014. She was born January 5, 1921 to Lydia and Alex Reiber in Dusty, WA, the fifth of eight children. Survivors include her brother, Gene (Leona) Reiber; daughters, Judy (Bill) Eberly, Conni (Gary) Boothe and Lila (Dale) Nelson, all of Spokane; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She retired from the State as a counselor at Lakeland Village. Bea was a very strong Seventh-Day Adventist with a loyalty to the Lord Jesus Christ beyond anything worldly. The family thanks Heidi and the staff at Fairview Assisted Living for their true love and caring. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Fairview Assisted Living, Hospice of Spokane, or a non-profit charity of your choice.

SAPPINGTON, Dorothy Oberg Myers - Coeur D'Alene  
SAPPINGTON, Dorothy Oberg Myers (Age 90) Mom went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 17, 2014 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was born on December 25, 1923 in Cohasset, MN to John and Alma Oberg. She married her sweetheart, Michael Myers, in September of 1939. In 1948, they moved to North Idaho and loved the area and decided to stay. Having lost our dad in 1983, Mom met a wonderful man named Claude Sappington and they married in October of 1985. Mom loved to bake and do crafts. She enjoyed camping and picking huckleberries, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, her church family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma; brothers, Frank and James; sisters, Julia Wint, Ione Moseng Buvik, and Leone Moseng; husband, Michael Myers; husband, Claude Sappington; sons, Michael Brent and Richard Myers; daughter, DeAnna Myers; one granddaughter, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Mom is survived by sisters, Audrey Root of Russell, MN, and Laura Nelson of Pinehurst, ID; daughters, Gloria King Marshall (Jim) of Newman Lake, WA; Patsy Myers of Coolidge, AZ; Brenda Brown of Colbert, WA; Laura Lee Ferguson (Jim) of Post Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, Marcia Myers; stepchildren, Claude Wayne, Larry and Donnie Sappington, and Elaine Hammer; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Lifeway Chapel, 501 W. 15th, Post Falls, ID on December 27, 2014 at 2:00pm.

SHULKIN, Elmer "Rich" - Spokane Valley  
SHULKIN, Elmer "Rich" Beloved and cherished father, grandfather, broth-er, coach and friend passed away December 17, 2014. His warm laugh and smile, character and charisma, and kind and generous heart will never be forgotten. Rich was born January 5, 1925 in Coleridge, Nebraska as the youngest of five. After relocating to Spokane with his family at a young age, he graduated from Rogers High School in 1943 as one of the finest athletes the Pirates have seen to date. After serving aboard the USAT Etolin as a medic during World War II, Rich went on to play baseball at Gonzaga University and earn his Masters of Education from Eastern Washington University. He spent over 30 years teaching and coaching, retiring from West Valley School District in 1982. Coach Shulkin led his football team to a State B Championship in 1976. In 1949 he married his wife, Dorothy, and they had five wonderful children together. They were married 42 years before she passed away in 1992. Rich was a lifetime member of the Washington State Coaches Association and Washington Schools Athletic Administrators Association. He also belonged to the Spokane Valley VFW Post 1135 and Spokane Valley Elks. He is survived by his brother, Robert Shulkin; his five children, Susan (Ken) Howser, Kathy (Brian) Powell, Rick (Sherry), Dan and Mark (Mindy); five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Public visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel. A private family service will be held.

STANDAGE, Diane Christine - Spokane  
STANDAGE, Diane Christine (Age 68) Diane Christine Standage was born in Pasadena, CA on September 23, 1946 to parents Kenneth Standage and Dorothy Goller. She graduated from El Segundo High School in 1964 and attended El Camino College before joining the United States Marine Corps in April of 1968. She passed away peacefully in her home on December 19, 2014 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband Kerry Swiggum, her children Charlene Norris and husband Shane, Joseph Swiggum and wife Tina, her grandchildren Brittany Linde and husband Brandon, Kayla Marie Swiggum and husband Dennis, Amber Whitehouse, Helen Whitehouse, Brent Swiggum and Daniel Swiggum and her great-grandchildren Ethan Linde and Liam Linde and her brother Richard Standage and wife Sherri. Diane worked for the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy where she retired in 2002. She loved family get-togethers, where she was truly the heart of the family. She loved shopping, going to lunch and going on cruises to Alaska with her husband. Her happiest time was surrounded by family and her dog Boo. She was generous and gave to animal protection causes and supported Wounded Warriors. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 1 pm at Heritage Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park. "Always In Our Hearts"

WILLIAMS, Zane R. Sr. (Age 66) Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, bro-ther, and friend peacefully passed away on the 15th of December 2014 in Spokane Washington. He is survived by, his wife Judy Williams; daughter Juanita Angus (Bob), Zane Williams Jr., Randy Williams (Miranda); sisters Truella Stone and Luicelle Williams; brothers Eldon (Darlene), Albert (Jackie); grandchildren Ashley Palmer, Carissa Williams, Kaela Williams, Alexis Williams, Madison Obermier, Zane Williams III, Randy Williams Jr., and a great-granddaughter, Trinity Viellette. Zane was also loved by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. A Service/Celebration of Life is planned for Monday the 29th of December, 2014 at 6:00 PM at River Christian Church on Market and Diamond Street.

OLSEN, Lillian (01/27/1912 - 12/15/2014) OLSEN (Kist), Lillian Marie (Age 102) was taken from this earth peacefully and gently in our Lord's arms on December 15, 2014. She was born in Steele, North Dakota on January 27, 1912 and was a Spokane resident since 1948. She married Oscar Olsen in 1952. He passed away in 1996. They are now slow dancing in Heaven! Lillian outlived her entire immediate family: parents Fred and Caroline Kist and six siblings (Fred, Hilda, Eddie, Leona (Pat), Elmer, Vernon (Jimmy). She will be missed by all, but especially Clementine Kist (sister-in-law/wife of Elmer); Kathy (Wayne) Jacobsen (niece); Michael Larsen (John Thomas) (great-nephew); Susan Larsen (great-niece); special family friends Dee/Randy Belcher; her Redeemer Church family; staff at Guardian Angel; and basically by everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful woman. We love you Lillian! A Funeral Service will be held, TODAY, Tuesday, December 23, 11:00 am at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3606 S. Schafer Rd (97206) with luncheon to follow. Burial is at 2:00 pm at Pines Cemetery, 16th Ave/S. Pines Rd. (near the Mausoleum).
