Barbara DEARING

DEARING, Barbara 7-18-1932 4-10-2013 Barbara passed away April 10, 2013. She was born to Claude and Lillian Ramsey in Columbus, Ohio. She was the second child of five. At a young age her family moved to Joplin, MO where she grew up. Barbara lived in different parts of the country until she followed her mom to the Spokane area where she would meet Frank Dearing. Mom married dad in 1955 and they spent their lives together until dad passed away in 2001. From an early age family was always important to mom. Every year at Christmas, Mom would make large batches of homemade candies and cookies for all the kids, grandkids family and friends. She also learned to sew and made clothes for her daughter Kathy and other family members. Mom was a member of the VFW Post 3067 and numerous pool leagues with dad. She loved to camp, travel, and toured all over the East coast with Ron and his family. She loved going to Disney World and was able to go several times. She also loved to go to the casino. She was a devoted wife, mother, and a friend to many. Barb is survived by sons, Ronald Dearing, (Sandy Mendenhall), Deer Park, WA; Dan Dearing, (Tracy Dearing) Vancouver, WA; Terry Dearing, (Donna Dearing), Deer Park, WA. Daughter, Kathy Cmos, (Bill Kilian), Bead Lake, WA. Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Amsden and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Barb's life will be held at the VFW Post 51, W. 300 Mission on Saturday, April 27th. Between noon and four. A potluck lunch will follow. Everyone wanting to share some food, stories and laughs are welcome to attend.
