BURGERSON, Charles S. "Chuck" (Age 80) Chuck was born on August 27, 1933 in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, and passed away on May 17, 2014. He graduated from Haddon New Jersey High School in 1951 and attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ for two years. Chuck served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1961, during this time while he was stationed at Fairchild, he met the love of his life, Prudence, on a blind date. They were married in Spokane, WA on June 29, 1956. Together they raised three sons, Mark, Kevin and Keith Burgerson. Chuck worked as a milkman for Carnation Dairy from 1951 to 1969, during that time he served as President for the Valley JCs in 1968, where he loved cooking chicken at the Spokane Interstate Fair. He retired from Round-up Super Value Food in 1992 after 25 years of service. While still working, Chuck started CR Auction with his good friend Ralph, then he went into business with his son Mark and they started A Auction and ABES Discount and was working up until about three months ago. Chuck loved the auction business and antiquing, he also spent time refinishing furniture. In his last several years he had been working with wood and cedar and made beautiful pieces that he sold. He also loved all of his flowers especially his geranium flowers, he would winterize and enjoy each year. Dad also loved cooking, especially his ham and beans as well as his different soups. After retirement he worked on perfecting his huckleberry pie and "goop" that his family all loved and looked forward to. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Lina Burgerson and his brother Jimmy. He is survived by his wife, Prudence; sons, Mark Burgerson, of Spokane, WA, Kevin (Karen) Burgerson, of Otis Orchards, WA and Keith (Jen) Burgerson of Des Moines, WA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Amber Lewis, Justin Burgerson, Chelsie Hendrickson, and Brandon Burgerson, and great-grandchildren, Elliana and Eli Lewis, Patrick Hendrickson, and Logan and Savannah Burgerson. Chuck will be so very missed by all of us. The family would like to thank North Idaho Advance Care Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion this last month.
