Don will be missed by
many near and far.
On July 2nd, Don passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family. He has been battling lung cancer for 13 years. Don was in good health and spirits until recently. Although, after school, Don joined the U.S. Navy and was always proud of the years he spent on the subs, serving his country.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and June Copenhaver, His daughter Idella Faye, and brother Bill Copenhaver. He is survived by his wife Carol Copenhaver, brother Gary Copenhaver, daughters, Merilla (and Rob) Hopkins, Belle (and Jim) Petty, Anna Mae (and Mike) Rohde, numerous nieces and nephews and the grandchildren he loved so much - Tyler Covey, Macie, Nathan, Shane, and Cody Hopkins, Ivan Petty, and Michelle Rohde.
