Joe CAPRI

CAPRI, Joe Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend Joe Capri was born November 15th, 1919 in Elizabeth New Jersey, son of Italian-Spanish immigrants. He is a WW II veteran, U.S. Navy, and was deployed to North Africa for five years, in Casablanca. As a first generation American he served his country proudly. After WW II, Joe joined the United States Foreign Service. He served as a U.S. diplomat at U.S. embassies in 13 countries over a period of 31 years, under seven U.S. presidents. In 1956, while he was stationed in Bremen, Germany, Joe met and married Erica, his beautiful wife. In 1979, Joe retired from the Foreign Service and moved with his family to Spokane, Washington, where he found his life's calling as a volunteer and Assistant Chaplain at the Spokane County Jail, which he did for 20 years. On May 24th, 2013, at age 93, Joe went to Glory. He leaves behind his wife, Erica, of 57 years, his daughters Isabelle Capri, Grace Capri Miller, and his son Alexander Capri, as well as four grandchildren.
