Orville H. MARK(05/10/1923 - 12/22/2013)

MARK, Orville H. (Age 90) Orville H. Mark passed away on December 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida, of 69 years on November 30, 2013. He was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa on May 10, 1923 and has resided in Spokane for 69 years. He is survived by his son David Mark and daughter-in-law Paula Mark, grandson Jeff Mark (Carrie), granddaughter Monica Queally (Michael), and four great-grandchildren, Allison, Paige and Blake Mark and Colleen Queally. Victor Mark of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Myrtle Pashby of Duarte, California are his remaining siblings, along with many nieces and nephews. Orville was a World War II Veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Shipley Bay aircraft carrier in the Pacific. He was a retired home builder and developer in Spokane and received many awards throughout his career. Orville enjoyed big game hunting, fishing, and spent as much of his free time at Priest Lake as he could. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Spokane Home Builders Association. The family would like to thank Chris Dassow for his loving care for the past 5 ½ years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church.
