Albert Bennett
(Age 96)

Was born on October 30, 1914 at the family home in Auburn, WA to John and Berdina Molsness and passed away on May 6, 2011 in Spokane Valley, WA. He graduated from Flathead County High School in 1933 in Kalispell, MT. He married Shirley Manning on October 1, 1938. During WW II he built Liberty Ships in Vancouver, WA. He worked for Warren, Little and Lund as a plumbing supervisor for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He and Shirley lived on the Spokane River in Otis Orchards for 24 years, spending 15 of those years wintering in Arizona. In 2001 they moved to Orchard Crest Retirement Community. Shirley passed away in 2003. He is survived by two sons, John "Jack" (Peggy), Port Townsend, WA and their children, Eric and Bryan and Gary (Linda), Spokane Valley, and their children, Kristen and Scott; sister, Marie Frederick, Coeur d' Alene, ID; great-grandchild, Brooke, Eric's daughter; sister-in-law, Merilyn Lloyd and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, two sisters, Jenny and Alice and brother, Irv. A celebration of Al's life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley lead by Robin Lucky. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 10835, Spokane, WA 99209.

My aunt and uncle,Alex and Dorothy Cooper,had many wonderful "plumber's dinners"with Al and Shirley,and I was lucky to get to hang out with them sometimes.Al was a nice and witty man.
