Dulcie Milne Obituary


MILNE, Dulcie

Dulcie O. (Tanner) Milne Dulcie passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011. She was born December 19, 1912 at Five Mile Prairie to Charles and Lulu Tanner. When she was five they moved to Lane Idaho. Dulcie married Floyd Milne on September 1, 1933 in Spokane, WA. They lived the rest of their married life in Spokane Valley raising their
three daughters. Dulcie and Floyd were active members of several square dance clubs and were very involved with getting the Square Dance Center on North Sullivan built. She loved sewing, crocheting, camping, traveling and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd; her parents; brothers Francis, Clyde, Berl and Bill; sister Betty and one great great grandchild. She is survived by her daughters Janet (Dick) Whalen, Idell (Darrell) Jenicek, and Ruth (Steve) Aubrey. There are 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one sister Irene and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today, Friday, February 25, 2011 from 4:00 -" 8:00 P.M. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. Services will be held at Thornhill Valley Chapel, on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Legacy House Assisted Living or to Hospice of North Idaho.

My entire childhood is full of memories of Easter and Thanksgiving dinners,and camping with Aunt Dulcie,Uncle Floyde and the whole Tanner family.My mom and Aunt Dulcie always laughing!The two of them even got "the giggiles" at a funeral... to the horrifying embarisment of this 12 year old girl!!I will miss Aunt Dulcie and feel so blessed for having her in my life.
