FULBRIGHT, Howard J.

Passed away on March 14, 2011, at Spokane Valley Hospital at the age of 96. He was born to Samuel and Dora Fulbright on July 17, 1914 in St. Edwards, Nebraska, one of nine children, Howard served with the Army during WWII era. As a long time resident of the Spokane area, he worked for the City of Spokane until his retirement in 1976. Howard enjoyed gardening, fishing, hiking, traveling and playing pool with his loving wife of 27 years Louise...Howard and Louise were members of the Elks, Eagles and VFW in the Spokane Valley. Burial will take place at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery. Howard had requested that no services be held. He is survived by his wife Louise, his nieces Mary Haggerty, Lindsey, MT., Sharon Sherrill, Grand Junction, CO., Margaret Fulbright, Clifton, CO., and nephew Jess Fulbright Jr., Nucia, CO., step daughter Tracey Schultz, plus Maxine, Marlene, Maureen, Marilyn Adelaide, and Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his first wife Irene. Special thanks to Gloria, Beverly, Sasha, Sandy, Cameron and Lorie, the very loving caregivers of Churchill's Adult Family Home where he resided with his wife Louise for the past several years. Also thanks to Sam and Carol Burke and family from Northport, WA., who were a very special family to Howard.
