Nina Lowder Obituary

LOWDER,
Nina E.

Nina E. Lowder went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 13, 2011. Nina was born in Valier, MT on September 7, 1924. She moved to Spokane towards the end of WWII. There she met and married a hand-some sailor Clair Lowder. Clair was stationed at Faragut Naval Base. She is preceded in death by her husband Clair. Nina was a homemaker and worked at Dishman Drug for 27 years. She also loved to garden, with roses being her specialty. Nina also loved to play bridge and any other card games. She leaves behind her daughter Kay Loibl and husband Dan; son Larry Lowder and wife Janice; grandchildren, Kurt Noonan and wife Erin, Rick Noonan and wife Lorrin, Kris Johnson and husband Bryan and Scott Shropshire; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sharon Giencke and husband Ted. Nina will be greatly missed by the ladies of her "Wednesday Wenches" luncheon club, who have been meeting for some 60+ years, plus all of her many friends at Broadway Court and friends in the community. The family would also like to thank Debbie and Nicole from Senior Helpers and the ladies from Hospice of Spokane for their heart felt care. A viewing will take place at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd. from 1:00PM to 4:00 PM on Friday the 21st. A memorial service will be held at Broadway Court, 13505 E. Broadway from 10:30AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 22nd. In lieu of flowers please give to Hospice of Spokane, SCRAPS, or a donation of your choice.

Nina was such a wonderful, sweet, loving person. I am so blessed that I had the opportunity to care for her in her last 6 weeks or so of her precious life and be there for her until the time of her passing. She was a beautiful soul and I know she is where she longed to be, with our precious Lord.

Nina's family,
We were sad to read of Nina's passing. She was always happy and glad to see me during our visits over the last several years. I worked with Nina at DDS for many years and have some wonderful memories.
