Ross Larson Obituary

LARSON,
Ross L.

October 14, 1931 ~
March 12, 2011

Lost his long battle with lung cancer, he fought hard but grew weary and couldn't stay any longer. While Ross lived in Puyallup, WA he raised, trained and showed Hackney and Shetland ponies. He also was a carpet layer in Union #1238 in Seattle, WA owning his own carpet business "Finn & Larson". Later he became the business manager of the union, retiring after 13 years. He moved to Spokane in 1989 and bought Mountain Man Nut & Fruit in the early 1990s. He loved to hunt, fish and build things. His cabin on the Naches River was also very special, as was his Shih Tzu, Molly. Ross was preceded in death by his mother, father, two sisters, step-daughter and step-son. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karlyn Larson; daughters Chris (Mike) Miller and Theresa (Paul) Bowler; eight grandchildren; brother Chester Larson; cousin Chandler (Dona) Larson; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. A celebration of Ross' life will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 2:00PM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA.

I remember sitting around the table during my visits to Spokane. You would make everyone laugh with your jokes and funny stories. Recently I was able to introduce you to my wife Maria. I was so proud to introduce you to her. I knew she would love you, as we all do. We will all miss you so much.
Love,

God has richly blessed us in allowing us to have Ross as a part of our lives. He was so much fun to be around and was always keeping us laughing. Even as he grew weaker he would still tell jokes. He will be missed by so many people. Ross, you always wanted a house with a view, enjoy the view that is better than anything you have ever seen. You will always be a part of us.
Love,
