John Davis Obituary

DAVIS,
John D.
(Age 71)

John went home to be with his wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 15, 2011. He will be greatly missed by all his family and close friends. John was born on May 6, 1939, to Willard and Ethel Davis in Moscow, Idaho, and moved to Spokane, Washington as a young child. He attended Rogers High School where he met many life-long friends and his beautiful wife of nearly 56 years, Donna Ruetsch. Married at age 16, together they raised four children: Debra Ashley, Clint Davis (Kathy), Dan Davis (Nancy) and Colleen Auble (Steve). Later they added a son in Chuck Ashley to the mix.
John provided for his loved ones with a career as Manager for W.W. Grainger, Inc., and retired as a Sales Representative. One of his passions in life was the great outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, camping or just spending time with family and friends around a campfire where he seemed most comfortable. Because of his love for photography and music we will have so much to turn to for fond memories of John.
We would like to thank everybody for his care, especially the ALSSO Organization (Carol and the whole crew), the Carters and all the staff at Hospice of Spokane for their very special kindness during John's final weeks with us. We have been greatly blessed by John's presence in our lives and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven our home.

April 24, 2011

I met John Davis many years ago while employed with WW Grainger.

John was a very gentle man and one of the nicest and kindest persons I've ever had the privilege of knowing.

He loved Jesus.

My condolences go out to his family.
