(Age 48)
Born on March 14, 1962, in Odessa, WA. Michael graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1980. His first job was working for his father at Basin Asphalt in Moses Lake. There he found his life's passion in the rock crushing phase. Throughout his rock crushing career he worked for Inland Asphalt and Central Premix of Spokane , WA.
Mike married the love of his life, Shelly Stevens on May 18, 1996. They had two beautiful children, Michaela (age 13), and Steven (age 10).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Irene Voise; and his brother-in-law, Calvin Stevens. He leaves behind his wife, Shelly; his two children, Michaela and Steven; his loving parents, Archie and Shirley Besancon; sister Gena (Ron) Slagg of Yakima. He is also survived by his wife's family and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He loved to camp, go boating with his family and relax in his hot tub. He was our original "Camper Dan." He was well known for his ability to build or fix anything and often said, "The only thing I can't weld is the crack of dawn and a broken heart."
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Chattaroy Community Church, 3711 E Chattaroy Rd, Chattaroy, WA, at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to assist the family can be made at any Wells Fargo branch.

Ron and I (Margie) Johnson want to you to know all our prayers and heartfelt love goes out to you and your children today. We just found out. Remember when I first met you - Ron and I had just left behind four years of helping our oldest daughter through a death and rebuilding period. You were so understanding and helpful and kind to us during the purchasing and finally buy-out of the property making it a easier time of rebuilding our life and letting go of our daughter so she could fly again on her own. I know god doesn't foresake us in our hours of sorrow and his goodness will overflow into your heart and life. Love you and your children (My refrigerator door still holds your childrens Christmas pictures)

I am sorry for your loss. I got to work with Mike last year. He always took the time to answer questions about work or just stop to see how I was doing.

You are all in our heart & want you to know how truly sorry we are to hear about Mike. I know he loved his family very much, it saddens me so much. I remember when you would bring the kids into Pre-Mix Yakima, little Steven a spittin image of his father & Michaela such a sweetheart. I wish the best for all of you Shelly.
