Isabelle SITTON Obituary

SITTON, Isabelle Marie "Celebration of Life" Isabelle Marie Sitton "Liz" was born in Harrington, WA on April 22, 1932. Her parents were Sallie and Frank MacMaster. She was the youngest of a very large family - five sisters: Emma MacMaster, Lilly Dreger, Thelma Eagle, Velma Mitchell and Elaine Rettkowski; three brothers: Basil MacMaster, Lowell MacMaster and Ray MacMaster. All have preceded her in death. She loved each of them and was always thankful for all of them, helping her along the way. She grew up quickly, having married Vester Sitton at the age of 15. She had their three children before she turned 19. She always said she grew up with her kids, having learned to roller skate, ice skate, swim, water ski, cross-country ski and wind surf. She even learned to play the piano at the same time they did. She never played sports in school, but was always a rooting spectator for her husband and kids. She enjoyed all the music concerts they were involved in. She taught Sunday School, was a den mother for Cub Scouts and a Girl Scout leader. She received her GED diploma in 1966. Her husband, children and her home was where her heart was. She spent her life supporting and helping her husband with his life pursuits. She helped him in his Texaco business keeping books, banking, but most importantly making sure he had dinner every night (before the days of microwaves). She always said she never worked for "wages" but she got to sleep with the "BOSS". That was the best ever. She became a grandmother at 35. Oh how she treasured her grand kids!!! She was young enough to have so much fun with them. What special times they all had with her and especially down at the lake cabin. She valued her faith in God and Jesus. She enjoyed her time with her brothers and sisters in the Lord. Her church was very important to her. Nearly every Sunday she would spend worshiping the Lord, playing the tambourine. You couldn't keep her from tapping her toes or clapping her hands to almost any music. Having grown up with her dad playing a fiddle, her brother Ray playing a guitar and singing with her sisters to their music. It was so natural to play the tambourine with the church music. She loved sharing her life with her Christian family. After Vester retired, they did quite a bit of traveling across the US. They went to Alaska on a cruise ship. One winter they spent six weeks in Hawaii working on a Mercy Mission ship, sponsored by "Youth with a Mission" helping refurbish the ship to become a hospital ship. Later that same year, they worked in Canada on the same ship for three weeks. In September, 2007, she and Vester went to England, Wales and Ireland for their grandson Craig's wedding. It was a trip of a lifetime and they got to see things that they had always dreamed of seeing (White Cliffs of Dover, the British Car Museum, etc.) and some special moments spent at Barbara's (Craig's wife) grandfather's cottage way up in northern Ireland. She enjoyed going to the car shows and parades with their restored antique autos. She helped Vester build their last home at Seven Bays, being the "go-for" girl helping hold the measuring tape and boards, shoveling sand and gravel, painting, etc. And most of all, encouraging Vester at his age of 70 in taking on such a big job; the house they dreamed of having and were very comfortable in. They were married January 25, 1948 and spending most of her life with Vester, the love of her life. She is survived by her three children: Vicki Marie Parrish, Monty Sitton (Ed) and Dana Sitton (Pam); four grandchildren: Craig Parrish (Barbara), Brent Parrish (Tamie), Daron Sitton, Stacy Sitton Hammer (James); and three great-granddaughters: Ella Anne Duffy Sitton, Isabella Marie Parrish, Aria Evelyn Parrish and Macy T. Lou Hammer. She also was able to share a special relationship with Sam (Katie) Weaver and Marlene Badgley and many of her extended Christian families. She will be remembered as a special wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma and a very special friend and sister to her Christian family. And now she would ask you to celebrate her going home to heaven to be with Vester and her Lord and Father God. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Sonrise Foursquare Church, Wilbur, WA with Pastor Tom Van Der Ende, officiating. Memorials donations maybe made to the Sonrise Church (to be used for hearing impaired equipment) or to the Wilbur Historical Society. Please sign the online guestbook at www.stratefuneralhome.com. My Mom was the best Mom a daughter could have as she was only a few years older than I was. I had so much love and respect for her and what she accomplished in her life doing what she loved to do. I will miss her tremendously but I know she is where she has always wanted to be. I love you Mom,
