Grace Smith Obituary


SMITH, Grace

Passed away on February 14, 2011 in Post Falls, Idaho.
She was born in Harrisville, Mississippi to George and Nancy Harper and later graduated from Harrisville High School. She was married to Earl L. Smith in Jackson, Mississippi in September 1944. They moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1946 when Earl went to work for Chicago and Southern Airlines. In 1954 they moved to Dallas, Texas when Chicago and Southern merged with Delta Airlines. They lived in Grapevine, Texas until 1982 when Earl retired from Delta Airlines. At that time, they moved to Athens, Texas to enjoy retirement. In 2004 they moved to Coeur d'Alene to be near family.
Grace is survived by her husband of 66 years, Earl, daughter Janice Smith of Evergreen, Colorado, and daughter Judith and her husband Carl of Coeur d'Alene.
A private family memorial service and celebration of Grace's life will be held at the George's home on March 4. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Life Care Center of Post Falls 460 N. Garden Plaza, Post Falls, 83854.
