"Lee" (Age 86)

Passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Sagle, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with full military honors.
Lee was born on February 3, 1925 in Red Oak, Iowa to Charles and Edna Lloyd. He grew up attended schools in Red Oak, IA and Mound City, MO. Lee served in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper during WWII. In Europe he fought in three major battles; the invasion of Normandy, Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge. Lee was awarded the Purple Heart when he was wounded in battle.
Lee spent his career managing pole yards around the country and retired from B.J. Carney and Co. in Sandpoint in 1992. On September 24, 1999 he married Marie Wilkinson and they made their home in Sagle, ID.
He is survived by his wife Marie Lloyd of Sagle; one son Ric (Laurie) Lloyd of Ferndale, WA; one daughter Kathy (Tim) Hartnett of Chicago, IL; five step-children, including Audrey Oster (Chris Lewis) of Sandpoint, ID; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two sisters Annie Almquist of Huntington Beach, CA and Frannie Kindberg of West Minster, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Lloyd, sister Ruth Robinson and son Tom Lloyd.
