Janice Krogh Obituary

KROGH,
Janice Jean
(Age 71)

Passed away February 2, 2011 at her home at Sacheen Lake with family and friends at her side.
Janice was born March 9, 1939 in Spokane, Washing-ton, the daughter of John and Marjorie (Hanson) Bixby. She attended Logan Elementary and North Central High School in Spokane.
Janice worked as a receptionist at Washington State College (University). She also assisted managing the family's Feed Supply business and was a Homemaker with Pioneer Spirit. A Sacheen Lake Resident for 45 years, Janice was a founding member of "Ladies of the Lake". She supported her husband John, in their Ranching business. Janice was active in local politics, election boards, and the Cattleman's Association. She and her husband John lovingly helped raise seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was the best cook ever and her peanut butter cookies will be greatly missed. Janice loved to ice skate on the lake, play dress up and fish off the end of her dock with her grandchildren. She was always the earliest fisherman on the lake and even went as far as to eat a fish eye on a dare by one of the kids. Janice enjoyed spoiling her family with annual Easter egg hunts, custom birthday cakes and fabulous holiday dinners. Janice loved to cheer on the Bulldogs and Mariners from her living room chair overlooking the lake, reading a good book and tending to her yard and flowers.
Janice is Survived by her husband John Krogh; sons, Todd and (Julie) Krogh and Christopher Krogh both of Newport, WA; grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlin, Dylan, Mackenzie, Austin, Sydney and Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Lily and Hannah.
Many heartfelt thanks from the Krogh family to Hospice of Spokane, Ladies of the Lake, Sacheen Lake residents and Kim Fletcher and family for all their love and support and for allowing Janice a peaceful passing at home as she had requested.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Sacheen Lake Fire Station (mile marker 6, Hwy 211) across from the Krogh Family farm on Sunday February 13th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane on behalf of Janice.
SHERMAN-KNAPP FUNERAL HOME in NEWPORT is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at sherman-knapp.com.

I am so sorry to hear about "Aunt Janice" (as I knew her growing up at Sacheen)
Her laugh was amazing and she will be missed!
Condolences to the entire Krogh Family.

Our condolences go out to John and your family in this time of great sorrow. We know that Janice is in a better place and is going to be forever watching over you all. She will be waiting to see who is the first fisherman on the lake this year. Maybe she will help a record breaker get on your line. May time help heal your pain and allow the many loving and fond memories to replace the pain and heartache. Janice will be greatly missed by many.

So sorry to hear about Janice's passing. We were buddies at North Central and in Sonombula, and lost touch after she married and moved north. Sounds like she was a terrific lady. We presently live in Yuma, AZ so can't make it for the memorial Wish I could have been there. Bobbie Cox Anders
