JEFFERS,
M. Edward, Sr.
(Age 82)
"Eddy, Jeff, Blue Jay", passed away May 20, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Ed co-founded Litho Art Printers in the early 1950s and retired in 1990.
He spent 57 years as a member and conductor of the Evergreen Chapter of Barbershop Singers and loved to sing tenor. His passion for singing was second only to the love he had for his wife Lea. His enthusiasm for golf, a close third. He was a member of the Harrington Golf & Country Club for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Spokane Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Optimist Club.
Ed is survived by his wife Lea, brother Emmett Jeffers, son Ed Jeffers Jr. and daughters Shelley Sharp, Christy Zuniga and Robin Rickey; four stepchildren, Michael, Stephen, Donald, and Richard Karr. Ed had 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He also filled his life with many special people, friends he considered family.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held at Ball & Dodd Funeral home located at 5100 W. Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA, on Thursday, May 26th, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pages of Harmony Singers -" c/o Ken Duncan -" 5108 S. Morrill Ln., Spokane, WA 99223 -" or contributions can be made to the Harrington Golf & Country Club -" PO Box 191, Harrington, WA 99134 -" to fund a commemorative plaque and tree planting ceremony in Ed's honor.

Lida Rose was the song we sang in the quartett; KP Productions of Music Man. I'll never forget Blue and his love for harmony. Rest in Peace my friend and Brother.
