FREDERICK, Violet M. "Vi"
(Age 72)

Passed away on May 15, 2011 in Odessa, Washington. She was born on August 31, 1938 in Kettleman City, California to Clifford and Edith (Hill) Skaggs.
She married Louis Wayne Frederick in Carson City, Nevada on September 1,1956. Vi was a member of the English Congregational Church. She had so many hobbies and interests and loved Arts and Crafts. A few of her many talents were crocheting, knitting, quilting and making fleece blankets for family and the active duty and retired military members. She loved working with the youth in Odessa, which led to her help in the establishment of the Odessa Youth Garden. The youth could also count on enjoying her annual Hallowe'en haunted house. She was also a longtime volunteer, which included working on the Community Float. However, spending time with her family was her greatest enjoyment.
Vi is survived by her husband, Wayne of Odessa, WA, five children: Michael Frederick and Sherri of Odessa, WA, Debbie Praetorius and Lee of Odessa, WA, Dennis Frederick and Polly of Ford, WA, David Frederick and Brenda of Spokane, WA, and Teresa Wheeler of Albuquerque, NM; 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her brother, George Skaggs of Lemoore, CA, two sisters, Billie Dean Buyense of Lemoore, CA and Donna Bassett of Hanford, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vi was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Phillip, Clifford, and Don.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Odessa Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Jon Hayashi, officiating.
