FLAMBOURAS, Elaine Helen
(Kiourkas) (Age 90)

Long time business entrepreneur passed on April 27, 2011 and has gone to join her beloved husband of 71 years, Dan. Elaine was born in Whitefish, MT November 12, 1920. Dan and Elaine came to Spokane in 1950 and they started Dan's Barber and Beauty Shops, which are well known landmarks on North Monroe St. Elaine and sister Anna worked for 20 years as beauticians in the salon. She is survived by her son Frank Flambouras and sister Anna Mittlestadt; eight grandchildren Denise Putt, Dave, Darryl, Danette and Darren Flambouras; Janina, Sara and Danny Flambouras; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and special friend Irene Christoulis. She was preceded in death by four brothers James, Angelo, George and Danny Kiourkas. Visitation will be Tues. and Wed. 10-5PM at Heritage and the Funeral Service 1:00PM Thursday May 5th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1703 N. Washington St. with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.

We remember your dear mother during the years we lived in Spokane and we attended the Greek Church there. She was a lovely lady, and your father was so nice to us also.
