My dear Dorothy, I am still in shock as I went to mass Thursday eve and Don was there. After mass he asked if we heard about Rich and when he told me, it was shocking. I guess I know what your are going through as the good Lord took my Bob fast from cancer, but he took your Rich even faster. You know I did thank him because Bob did not have to suffer for a long time.
I saw Rich when he came to SD for his mom's 100th Birthday and brought me all the neck ties. He did not find me at home so took them to Chuck's, but saw him later.
He was a sweetheart and lets remember all the good times we had.
You are a strong person and Rich knows you will take good care of the family
I love you Dorothy and send you lots of love and will keep you in my prayers.
Love Laurena

Dorothy and Family,
We are saddened to hear about Richard's passing. Jeremy played softball with Richard's grandson Michael for many years. We had the pleasure of knowing Richard throughout the years. He will be missed tons.

Rich was and will remain a very special person in my life. He and his beloved wife Dorothy opened their home to myself and my family, and made us a part of their family. He will be very missed.

Dick and Dorothy were like another set of grandparents to our children where they grew up at Dorothy's daycare. They called Dick "Grandpa" when they were very young because he treated them like his grandchildren with love and understanding. Dick was a kindhearted man and will be missed greatly. Our hearts go out to Dorothy, Rod and Colleen during this difficult time. Dorothy, we love you. Mike, Joni, Nicole & Kacie Sheldon
