Our beloved Jason passed away on April 20, 2011. Jason was born in Great Falls, Montana on August 19, 1970 to Sheila Mahaffey Chase and Thomas Chase. He moved to Longview, WA in 1977 and to Spokane, WA in 1980. He loved animals, cars, home projects and old movies. He was a gregarious, brave, kind and generous soul who fought death to the end. He had a special bond with his late grandmother, Nancy Mahaffey. Jason is survived by his mother Sheila Mahaffey Chase, of Spokane, his father Thomas Chase of Great Falls, Montana, brother Matthew Chase of Spokane, his fiancée, Vicki Jacobs of Spokane, uncles Jim Mahaffey of Great Falls, MT, Garry Mahaffey of Maple Valley, WA and other relations. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Michael and his grandparents. His dog pack of Scoobey, Buddy and lil' Dude miss him. He will be forever in our hearts. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., April 30, 2011 at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

I still can't wrap my brain around the fact that Jay is truly gone , it just seems so unreal , and the hurt and pain that everyone is feeling without him is so very sad!

Jason,
It's hard to believe that the time I had to know you was cut so short. Growing up as an only child, I always wanted an older brother. Now that I am becoming part of the family, all I can say is that I would of liked to have had you as my brother. I will miss our xbox live adventures, Ticky, it won't be the same for Matt and I without you. You will live on in our hearts and in spirit with future generations.

I worked with Jason at petco for a few years and he was a great friend. We had a lot of laughs- he made work fun and i am really sad he is gone and for everyone's loss. he really cared about people and was always willing to help people out.
