I had the privalege of being one of Joe's caregivers in his last months. I will never forget how his bright smile and sparkling eyes would warm my heart. Shirley was his guardian angel making sure he got what he needed and was treated with the respect he deserved.

My condolences to everyone in the family. Joe and I went to grade school as well as high school together and I'll always remember him as one of my pals growing up. I can't ever remember seeing him get angry or mad. He was always fun to be with. I'm sorry I can't be there for the service but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Dennis Curran

My sympathies to Shirley and Scott. Joe was a good friend of mine when we were in our early teens. I remember him as being a big baseball fan as he hit rocks into the field using a stick for a baseball bat. Although I haven't seen him since the late 60's, I won,t ever for forget him. He will be in my prayers. Kim Dixon

Shirley, I'm so sorry to hear this. I wish I could have seen him one last time. He's probably "talking hockey" with Guy right now. Kids and I will see you Friday. You're in my thoughts - Janet Riegel Sinnott

My sympathies to Shirley and Scott. I always remember Joe fondly, from the times we worked together. I admired his sense of humor and great wit.
