I became acquainted with Lorene through family history research beginning in early 2008. I met her and Fred in person in April 2011 when I interviewed her about memories of her grandfather William Cook who was my great uncle. She was very helpful to me and I have several of her memories quoted in my book published in 2012. Sadly, I was not aware she passed on until 2 days ago at a family reunion. I would have wanted to attend the funeral. God's peace be with the Wesselman family.

Fred and family--Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Lorene was such a kind, welcoming person, with a beautiful smile and loving heart. We enjoyed visiting with Fred and Lorene at the sausage feeds in Sprague each spring, catching up on the family news.
May the Lord bless and keep each of you during this difficult time, and may His peace fill your hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all! I was quite saddened not to be able to attend the funeral for having not learned when it would be until it was just getting over. My thoughts and prayers were there with you, however!! All our love...Judy & Gary

I had the pleasure of taking care of Miss Lorene at Cheney Assisted Living before her passing. Our nightly ritual was the best part of my shift which often had us both laughing histarically before I handed her her rosary and said good night. I will miss her Greatly
