Passed away April 24, 2011 in Spokane, WA. She was born January 15, 1926 in Reardan, WA to Otto and Lela (Nunn) Lucht who both preceded her in death. Doris graduated from Reardan High School and married Sidney Peterson in 1946. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing three card poker, playing bridge, watching baseball games and traveling as snow birds with her husband. She was also very proud of her family. Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Harold "Bud" Lucht; sister, Eileen Ahrens; and grandson, Travis. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Sidney Peterson of Spokane; four children, Larry Peterson and wife Barbara, Steve Peterson and wife Charon, all of California, Shirley Hedin and husband Mike of Deer Park, WA, David Peterson and wife Robin, of Spokane; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. At her request no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted to HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. MONROE ST.

We always looked forward to visiting with Doris and Sid when they came to California, especially at Christmas time.
Thank you for sharing your potato augratin recipe, Doris, it's the best ever!

My sympathy to the Peterson family at the loss of a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I have treasured many memories of her and Sid (dad) and will share them with her great granddaughter, Savanah and Malyssa.

My heart grieves over the loss of my mother in law. She always welcomed me with a smile, open arms and affection. My condolences to my father in law Sid and family members, life's memories will help us cope. I love you Doris, you will be missed, rest in peace.
