Passed away April 13, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Gordon was born May 26, 1934 in Cando, ND to Wilbur and Lois May Farley. He was predeceased by his mother, father and sister, Jo Anne (Farley) Dix. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally M. (Russell) Farley; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carmen Farley of Spokane; son, Rev. Thomas Farley of New Mexico; two daughters, Laura Burlett of Tillamook, OR and Jody Steck of Lubbock, TX; two step-daughters; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He graduated from North Central High School in 1952 and after graduation joined the US Coast Guard where he spent four years at various stations along the Oregon coast. His final tour was as the lighthouse keeper at Cape Meares in Tillamook, OR. He is a graduate of Eastern Washington State University with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education. He spent 27 years as a special education teacher in Oregon City, OR, retiring in 1991. He and his wife then returned to Spokane, where they enjoyed their retirement traveling to visit family. A private memorial service was conducted on April 16, 2011 in Spokane at Fairmount Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. Monroe St . in Spokane.

To meet Gordon and his family many, many years ago had an strong impact on my life and I carry the memories of Gordons kindness and humor deep inside of my heart. May your sadness turn to happy memories of having had the chance of sharing a part of the way with him.
