Kevin Donnelly Obituary

DONNELLY, Kevin James
(Age 45)

Kevin departed this earth for a better place on February 7, 2011.
Born to Lynne Donnelly and Richard Donnelly in Berkeley, California in 1965, he grew up in New England attending Canterbury High School. Following high school he went to Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania where he met and fell in love with his wife of 21.5 years, Catherine.

Kevin developed a great love for music, media and specifically radio. He was passionate about Christian music, starting Cumberland Valley Christian Radio to raise money for a Christian radio station in South Central, PA. He also volunteered and worked with many radio stations. It has been speculated that if there are no radio stations in heaven, there will be now.

Together Kevin and Catherine have seven children. Two have preceded him to heaven; four are missing their precious father, but are comforted in knowing he is with Jesus and their siblings. The seventh child will arrive this spring.

Kevin was known for his sense of humor, his strong work ethic, his deep love for his family and his passion for seeking after God. His favorite moments in life always involved spending time together as a family. His life verse was Galatians 6:9 -" "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary".

Most recently he worked in Spokane, WA as "The Orkin Man".

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; his sons, Benjamin and Andrew; his daughters, Hannah and Abigail, and his daughter yet to be born. He is also survived by his parents, Richard Donnelly and Lynne Donnelly; his brothers, Steven and Christopher Donnelly; and his three half-sisters, Shannon Lowry, Kristin Menendez and Megan Rayder.

Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Monday at HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. Monroe St. in Spokane, WA. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd. Burial and a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Kevin Donnelly.

We are so sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. Kevin visited our home on the lake as "the Orkin Man" and he just was such an honest, nice guy. He always went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with his work. He had such a kind and peaceful demeanor - we both enjoyed knowing him. We are so sorry for your loss.
