Passed away June 3, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Mr. Louie was born in Canton, China on November 19, 1917. He married and started his family. He fled China in the late 1940's to Hong Kong where he worked as an accountant for a construction firm and as a bookkeeper for another firm. He was able to move to the United States in 1971, staying in New Orleans then to San Francisco in 1972 and finally Spokane in 1974. He worked for a relative as a cook at Louie's Restaurant. He retired in 1984. He was always known as a hard worker and was very good with numbers. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his children, Ken Louie of Seattle, WA, Wendy Louie of Seattle, WA, Linda Lee of Philadelphia, PA, Andy Louie of Spokane, WA, Rick Louie of Spokane, WA and Lisa Arnold of Spokane Valley, WA. There are 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Louie was preceded in death by his wife, Kam Sau in September 2009. Visitation will be held from 10 am until 6pm on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 N. Monroe. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011, at 1:30 pm, in the Alwin Chapel of Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery, Spokane, WA.
