Diana Downs Obituary

DOWNS,
Diana
January 12, 1942 -
April 20, 2011

The family of Diana Downs celebrates the legacy of her life and the union with her Savior, Jesus Christ. The family is saddened by our loss, but rejoices that she truly is in paradise with her Savior where she longed to be after a long battle with cancer. As she often said, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Phil. 1:21)
Diana retired from Pacific Northwest Bell. Through the years she volunteered at her church, East Farms Elementary, and the Koinonia House. She loved being involved with BSF, her Bible study at North Country Chapel and her Home Bible study group.
Diana treasured her family and friends. She leaves behind her two children, stepson, and their spouses: Joni and Greg Walters, Brad and Theresa Downs, and Chris and Heather Downs. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren: Ryan Walters, Benjamin Walters, Christopher Downs, Michael Downs, Brianna Downs, and Zachary Downs.
They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the King. This is the inheritance that Mom has given her children. That we may also live life eternally through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she has shared this with her family, as well as all others that she came into contact with. Her actions and deeds spoke louder than words as she loves with the Love of Christ!
May you join us in the Celebration of her life, and hear the many stories of her life filled with love and compassion. A Memorial Service was held at 4:00 on Saturday, April 23rd at Liberty Lake Church, 704 S. Garry Rd, Liberty Lake, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital Cancer Care Center.
