Gerald BAILEY Obituary

BAILEY, Gerald Maylon Gerald Maylon Bailey was born during a blizzard on January 31, 1932 to Ranford and Marguerite Bailey. He was raised in Ewan, Washington. Jerry departed this life on December 3, 2015 at the age of 83. Jerry was a hard-working man who joined the military at the young age of 15. He then worked in the mines in Kellogg, Idaho, at Fiberform Boat Co., and retired from Kaiser Aluminum. Jerry married the love of his life, Marvel Bailey, and together they raised five children. They spent most of their married life in the Bigelow Gulch area where they enjoyed the surrounding wildlife and many family get-togethers. Jerry was a dedicated family man who was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and good friend. He was deeply loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed many hunting and fishing adventures with his friends and family. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and delighted all who knew him with his story-telling conversation. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marvel; son, Jerry (Michael) Bailey; parents, Ranford and Marguerite Bailey; brothers, Douglas and Steve, and sisters, Juanita and Patricia. Survivors include four children (and their spouses); 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Cary L. Bailey (Lydia Bailey), Randy Bailey, Monte Bailey (Valerie Bailey), Cindy Bailey, and sisters, Francis Norton and Geraldine Banik (Maronda). Funeral services will be held at Hazen & Jaeger, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at 12:00. Wake to follow - details at funeral.

I remember my cousin with fond memories.
His Mother and my Mother were sisters and we were neighbors in Coplen Park for several years in the mid 1940's.
Jerry was always happy, a joker and good to the little kids.
I am comforted in the knowledge that Jerry is now with his loved ones who have gone before him.
My love and Condolences to his family.
