Roger Stewart Obituary

STEWART, Roger Dean

Roger passed away peacefully the afternoon of Monday, March 7, at his home in Millwood, Washington. He now finds comfort after struggling with illness the last several years of his life. He is survived by his immediate family; his wife, Joan, and two daughters, Lindsey and Jessie, and two sisters, Vicky and Marcia.
Roger was born November 20, 1952, in Yakima, WA., to Joyce Marie (Gardner) and Richard Charles Stewart. His family moved to the Spokane area during his high school years. Roger joined the Navy soon after graduating from East Valley High School in 1971, and served as a machinist mate for three years in San Diego. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Spokane, where he met his wife, and they were married in October of 1975. He then attended Spokane Community College, receiving as Associates Degree in electronics.
Roger was an avid pool player, and enjoyed spending his time outdoors, camping or fishing. His quiet time was spent reading science fiction novels or writing poetry.
His family would like to thank all the physicians and nurses that have helped to care for Roger.
Memorial service will be held at Foothills Community Church on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:30pm.

My friend I know your belief in the afterlife and beyond. Sleep well my friend. We will see you on the other side of the bridge someday. May you travel light and carry only the good memories beyond the light. You have a good family that will carry that candle of your memory until the end of the road.
