Adam Karnes Obituary


KARNES, Adam "Ace",
QMC USCG Ret.

Born June 2, 1925 in Fort Wayne Indiana, Passed away April 23, 2011 in Spokane Valley, WA.
Ace was raised in Edgerton Ohio and graduated from Edgerton High school. He enlisted in the USCG and served 20 years retiring in 1966. He loved poker, pinocle, fishing, hunting and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ethel Karnes, sister Pauline Hug and wife Lois.
He is survived by his brother Tom Karnes, sisters Muryel Stark and Alma Burbank, four children, two step children and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
No funeral will be held at Ace's request. Veterans honors will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, May 6th at 1:30.
Contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish in Ace's name.
