Allan D. (Bud) Glasgow passed away at his home at the age of 95, February 8, 2018. Bud was born in Marcus, WA and lived in various small towns in the area until his family moved to Medical Lake when he was in the 6th grade. Bud was a 1940 graduate of Medical Lake High School and was well known for his athletic abilities throughout his high school years. He joined the Army Air Corps, (now known as The Air Force) in 1942. He served during WWII and was stationed in Douglas, AZ and was a Crew Chief for B-29s. His last six months were in Tinian. During his enlistment he received numerous medals. When Bud returned home in 1946, he eventually worked as a signal maintainer for The Great Northern Railroad. He retired after 38 years of service. Bud was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Medical Lake, WA. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Myrtle Glasgow, son, Gary Glasgow and his wife, Glenda, daughter, Linda Odell and her husband Bill, three grandchildren, Stan, Jennifer, and Stephanie and six great-grandchildren: Kaylynn, Shayla, Van, Tomei, Jace and Bode.
Services will be held, Tuesday, February 13 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Medical Lake, WA. That same day, at 2:15 there will be a service at The Washington State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake, WA. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Hospice or St. John's Lutheran Church, Medical Lake.
