McNEARNEY, Angeline D.
(Age 96)

Of Sandpoint joined her Savior and Lord on the 25th of April, 2011.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Coffelt Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Ken Smith, officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00 -" 6:00 PM at the chapel. Private interment will take place in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Angie was born at Rockford, Washington, November 22, 1914. She was the daughter of Henry and Ella Jahns, the eighth of nine children. She attended Mica Peak School through the tenth grade and went to Rockford High School where she graduated at the age of 16. She then attended Kinman's Business University in Spokane, WA.
She married Charles McNearney, January 7, 1939. They lived in Colville, WA; Chester, WA; Hot Springs, Montana and Clark Fork, Idaho before moving to Sandpoint. They were later divorced.
Angie has been an active member of the First Baptist Church in Sandpoint, ID., since 1956. She served as treasurer of her church for 41 years. She also worked at Sears Roebuck and Company on First Avenue in Sandpoint for 26 years before retiring at the age of 70. She did a lot of gardening, quilting and crocheting; but her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by three daughters; Shirley (Cris) Kennedy of Liberty Lake, WA., Marilyn Slette of Medford, Oregon, Sandra (Bill) Moody of Sandpoint, ID., and one daughter-in-law, Lorna McNearney of Bonners Ferry, ID. Nine grandchildren also survive her; Rob (Cheryl) Falmo of Spokane, WA., Dave Falmo of Hayden, ID., Marilyn Jordan of Hayden, ID., Lori (Bruce) Fiock of Yreka, California, John Slette of Crescent City, CA., Stefanie (Ed) Taylor of Sandpoint, ID., Kris (Mark) Dobrilovic of Mission Viejo, CA., Mark (Teresa) McNearney of Helena, MT., and Lisa (Sam) Anderson of Georgetown, Texas. She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren, Leah, Matt, Sarah, Melissa, Trevor, Jessica, Josh, Luka, Dejan and Weston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Charles (Sam) McNearney, four sisters, four brothers and an infant grandson.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Bonner Community Hospice, P.O. Box 1448, Sandpoint, ID 83864 or to First Baptist Church, 1230 Michigan St, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
