Barbara Dombroski Obituary

DOMBROSKI, Barbara Elizabeth "Betty"
July 24, 1922 ~ February 15, 2011

Betty was born in Yakima, Washington. She attended Wapato High School and went on to Central Washington College where she earned a bachelors degree in Education in 1945. Her first teaching position was in Prosser, WA only staying one year, and then moving to Shelton WA. While there she met her future husband Richard Dombroski in November of 1945. They eventually married in June of 1946. After a number of relocations they ended up in Auburn, WA in 1948 where they remained until 2001. Both retired as educators, at early ages and spent many years traveling the globe from Europe to the Eastern Pacific. She also loved spending time at the family cabin at Rimrock WA. Skiing, golf and shopping rounded out her other activities. In 2001 they moved to Liberty Lake, WA to be closer to family. Betty is survived by her husband Richard; and two daughters, Jan Leedle and LeeAnn Greaves; five grandchildren, Brent Leedle, Garth Leedle, Jessica Platt, Shawna Bykonen and Allen Greaves; and three great-grandchildren, Jason Leedle, Ava and Liam Platt. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 19 at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd. Please sign Betty's online guestbook at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
