ADAMS, Clara Clara Adams passed away on February 26, 2010. She was born in Astoria, Oregon on July 2, 1919 and grew up on a farm near Knappa, a rural community. In 1940, she graduated from Linfield College in McMinnville and continued to live in Oregon until 1946 when she married Raymond Adams and moved to Spokane. The Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area was her home for the remainder of her life. For 23 years she taught in Oregon and Washington public high schools, including 17 as an English teacher at Lewis and Clark. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anne, in 1971 and by her husband, Raymond, of 56 years in 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Janis of Salem, OR; her son, Tom (Donna) of Mead, WA; her grandson, Carl of Spokane, and her granddaughter, Cheryl (Brian) Wynne of Seattle. She is also survived by three nephews and three nieces: Verne Andresen, Roy Nelson, Marilyn Brock, Carole Reinwald, Karen Belding and Gordon Hagglund all of Oregon. Private interment will take place at the family plot in Fairmount Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 3:30PM at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
