Clifford Warren Schultz was born January 9, 1927 to George and Mamie Schultz in Davenport, Washington. His family moved to Spokane and Bud attended North Central High School. He was drafted into the Army while a senior in high school and completed a tour of duty in Germany. Bud returned stateside, graduated from NC and married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Halstead on April 13, 1947, lovingly sharing 61 years together.
In addition to being a resident of Spokane, Bud also spent three brief years living in Portland, OR and Boise, ID. He was an accomplished building contractor, also working in the paving business and the concrete and metal pipe industry. He was a trainer for the Spokane Jets Hockey Club and was very active with local junior hockey programs. His leisure time was spent supporting his sons and grandchildren in sporting events, family time at various lakes, and visiting the Oregon Coast. His unselfish love for his family and friends made him a very special man to all who knew him.
Bud was preceded in death by his beloved Patricia in 2008, his parents, brother Glen Schultz and sister Ruth Foote. Bud is survived by his sister Margaret Wuesthoff and his loving sons Thomas (Deborah) Schultz of Spokane; Kenneth (Mary) Schultz of Beaverton, OR. Grandchildren: Molly (Kevin) Smith, Monica (Sean) Wood, Cameron (Terri) Schultz, Justin Schultz, Jodi (Mark) Collins, and Laura Barker. Great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Wood, Sydney and Peter Collins, Cooper and Cannon Smith, and Wyatt Schultz. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

"Bompa" was the quintessential grandfather. I am sad that I no longer get to talk to him and hold his hand in the physical sense, but I still have the ability to think about the lessons that he taught me. He was never judgemental and when I asked him advice, he never "told" me what to do, he just gave slight suggestions.
I have too many memories of my grandpa to list, but here are a few: opening day fishing at Medical Lake; sliding on their coffee table like it was a luge (and not getting yelled at!); the never-empty jar of orange slices and jellybeans; spending everyday after Jr High waiting for mom to pick me up at their house; having a fresh bag of licorce waiting for me after every single softball game I ever played; looking up in the stands during volleyball matches to see them smiling and cheering my team on. That only barely touches the surface of my memories.
I was so lucky to have such a wonderful, loving man to call "Bompa" in my life.
Love you, Bomps!! I hope you are holding Nana's hand right now and smiling down on all the great-grandchildren.

My deepest sympathys go out to Tom and family..I have such fond memories of Bud...and have had the pleasure of knowing he and his beloved wife for many years..He was the epitomy of a family man..a true Patriarch..nothing was ever as important to him, as his family..he will truely be missed...I loved and respected him greatly...I am positive, God will be seeking his advice when it comes to building anything up in heaven..rest in peace big man...
