Colleen Costello Obituary

COSTELLO, Colleen (Joy)

Born on March 22, 1963 (age 48); passed onto the next life June 2, 2011. Colleen grew up in Spokane, WA attending Field and Ridgeview Elementary, Glover Middle School and graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1981. She also received her A.A. degree
from Spokane Community College. Colleen will be remembered for the passion and compassion she gave to the lives of her family and friends. She will also be remembered for the love that she gave from her big heart, her incredible smile and for her unique and unforgettable laugh and sense of humor that she passed on to everyone. She brought JOY into the lives of her family, friends and co-workers. Colleen will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was employed from the time she was sixteen, working for Safeway, B&B Distributors, Mead School District and the Department of Corrections. Colleen was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Andy and Alice Anderson, her Uncle Jack Anderson and Grandparents Clarence and Marcella Joy. Colleen is survived by her husband Charles (Chuck) Talley; her children Kyle and Kayla Costello; her grandchildren Kaylyn and Landon; her mother, Darlene (Gene) Stewart, her father, William E. (Bill) Joy (companion Flora Powell); her sisters Patti (Gary) Atkins, Michelle (Steve) Bacon; her nephew Brett and her many "special" friends. Now may Colleen rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her. In her words "PEACE, LOVE and JOY to ALL." Into your hands, O Lord, I commend my soul: Lord Jesus, receive my soul. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ crucified, I lay me down to rest. Bless me, O Lord and defend me; preserve me from a sudden and unprovided death and from all dangers, and bring me to life everlasting with you. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 8, at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Colleen's name to Miryam's House of Transition for Women, 1805 W. 9 Ave, Spokane WA 99204; www.help4women.org.
