Daniel Hudkins Obituary

HUDKINS,
Daniel Frank

Daniel Frank Hudkins was born May 17, 1949 and died December 24, 2010.
A celebration of life is planned for Sunday May 15th at Happy Home Church, 5039 Hattery-Owens Road, Deer Park.
He was the son of Floyd and Ruth Hudkins of Reardan, Washington, a Boy Scout and FFA member who graduated from Reardan High School in 1967. He attended Yakima Valley Junior College and learned to fly private aircraft before entering the Navy. Dan served two years of active duty based in Sasebo, Japan and is a Vietnam veteran. He graduated from Washington State University in agricultural economics and started the business Frank's RV Repair which he owned in Grand Mound until his death. Dan is best remembered for the many people he helped with recovery. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 34 years, Debbora Shoup Hudkins, an admirable big brother Ret. Lt. Col. Raymond P. Hudkins of Pensacola, Florida, a tease of a brother James C. Hudkins of Deer Park, and a tag-along little sister Janet Hudkins Schade of Olympia. Memorials may be made to the Washington State University Foundation in his honor for Cougar Pride.

Dan's cousins (Donna, Leanne, Steve, and spouses) in Western Washington are all very sorry for his loss. We always looked forward to seeing him at our rare family get-togethers, where we enjoyed his company and good humor. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
