Dean Whittier Obituary


WHITTIER, Dean F.

Passed away March 7, 2011 at the age of 82. He was a World War II and Korean War Veteran. Dean went to work for the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1952 retiring from BNSF in 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, and his mother, Nora. Dean is survived by his children Michael, Patricia, Timothy, and Sharon; son-in-law, James; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; three sisters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a Past Master of Audubon Park Masonic Lodge #272, Scottish Rite Bodies, a member of El Katif Shriners and the Directors Staff, LOH, and NSSC. Thank you to everyone at the VA Medical Center for the special care given to our loved one. Memorial donations may be sent to the Spokane Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 2472, Spokane, WA 99210-2472. Private graveside service will be held at a later date. RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY assisting the family. Online guestbook at www.riplinger.com

Dean was not only a great rail he was a great person he was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be missed my many i being one.
