FISSETTE, Donald L.
(Age 68)

Entered into rest on February 19, 2011. He is survived by his loving companion of 16 years, Kathy Burns; his sons, Shawn (Kim) Fissette and Rocky Fissette; two grandchildren, Storm and Bonnie Fissette; his sisters, Dorothy Gepford, Judy Fissette, and Glennis Moore; his brothers, Gary and Kenny Fissette; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Dorothy Fissette; his wife, Bonnie Fissette in 1990; his brothers, Glen Ray, Eddie, Bruce, and Gordon; and by his sister, Rita. Don was born in Baraga, MI in 1942, and came to Spokane in 1961. He was employed at Bunker Hill as a laborer. In 1972, he began his own company, Blue Streak Steel, which operated all over the Northwest. He was a member of the Duke's Auto Club, and one of his passions was racing which he did on the NHRA circuit. We will miss you and love you forever!! Don has taken his last ride to the mountain. A potluck wake will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM at The Venue, 6416 N. Cincinnati, Spokane, WA 99208. Any questions, please contact Shawn Fissette at 270-1569. I have many of fond memories of Don and his family while growing up. He was a close and longtime friend of my dad's, Jr. I loved his personality, and am sure the guys will have a good ole time in heaven. I'm sorry for your family's loss.

Don Fissette worked hard and played hard. He is a true Spokane visionary who had an incredible mind. We are so lucky to have spent time growing up around such a great man.
