Passed away on April 25th 2011. Doug was born on August 9th 1965 in Sacramento, CA to mother Patricia Mills and father Bernard Mills (deceased). As a kid he loved to play hockey and made many lifelong friendships while playing. In 1988 Doug met Jill Wilson (now Mills) while working at Safeway. It was love at first sight. As he fell more in love with Jill and her three children, Amber Spies, Daniel Potvin, and Jennifer LaCour it brought out a new side of him. On May 16th 1990 Doug became the loving father of a newborn baby girl, Melissa Marie Mills that melted his heart. Soon after on July 21st 1991 Doug married Jill and created a wonderful family. Doug loved to play pool and surround himself with all his friends and family. His sense of humor made us all laugh every time we talked to him and even now that he is gone his humor lives on in us all. Doug is survived by his wife Jill Mills; daughter Melissa Mills; step-children Amber (Gary) Spies, Daniel Potvin, and Jennifer LaCour; mother Patricia Mills; brother Jeff Mills; sister Mindy Mills; niece Amanda (Matt) Johnson; along with three loving grandchildren Kiarra Walker, Leondra LaCour, and Mack Spies. There will be a remembrance party in his honor on Sunday May 1st at 2:00 pm. Please join the family for some great memories of Doug at his home in Otis Orchards.
