Dwight Lawrence passed away peacefully on August 28, 2018 in Spokane, WA surrounded by many mem-bers of his family. Dwight was born in Galveston, TX January 9, 1933. At the age of 17 he joined the Air Force with his best friend. While stationed in Denver he met the love of his life Ramona, who was also in the Air Force. They were married a short time later on March 5, 1955.
During Dwight's 20 year career in the Air Force they traveled all over the world. Their five daughters were born in Germany, Louisiana, Washington and Texas. They also lived in the Philippines for a few years. Dwight retired from the Air Force a Vietnam/Korean war Veteran.
They then moved to Spokane and Dwight enrolled in classes at SCC to pursue a career in printing. They loved the Pacific NW and retired to their property on the Tiger Inlet of the Pend Orielle River. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and traveling with his family.
Dwight is survived by his loving wife Ramona of 63 years; his older brother Robert Lawrence (Pasadena, TX); their five daughters Kathy Paulson (Bruce), Betsy McMichael (Russ), Pam Savland (Harry), Robin Ackerman (Paul) and Barb Barber (Paul). They were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council, 6116 N. Market on September 14, 2018 from 1-4pm.
