MARLEY, Eileen J. March 1, 1927 - December 30, 2012 Family surrounded Eileen as she made her transition from this life to be with the Lord. A beloved mother of nine, she passed away on December 30th, 2012 in Spokane, WA. She was born in Weston, OR to Ray and Pauline Gould. Her family moved to Prosser when she was 14 years old to a wheat farm on Horse Heaven. She graduated from Prosser High School in 1945, and on December 14th, 1947 she married Charles L. Marley. Prosser is where they raised their family, and where she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. In 1997, they moved to Spokane where many of their kids now live. She was a hard worker and enjoyed taking care of others. She liked to garden and keep a beautiful yard. She was known for her cooking, and brought joy and comfort to many with her delicious food. But more than anything, she was a devoted wife and mother. Loved by all who knew her, and the best mother anyone could have. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jere Gould, and one daughter Gaye (Marley) Davis. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Charles Marley; children Claudia Gordon (Mike), Kristie Zeigler (Gene), Chuck Marley, Jr. (Julie), Kelly Marley (Denise), Shelli Conroy (Shawn), Sammi Absalonson (Randy) all of Spokane; Randy Marley (Charlene) of Monroe, WA, and Cindy Hurst (Tom) of Vancouver, WA; her sister Judy Peyton (Nehalem, OR), 27 grandchildren, and going on 19 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Spokane at hospiceofspokane.org. A Memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 12th at the Millwood Presbyterian Church located at 3223 N Marguerite Rd. in Spokane. A graveside service to bury her ashes will be held at the Prosser Cemetery later this spring.
