Elizabeth Hall Obituary

HALL,
Elizabeth "Betty"
(Age 76)

Passed away peacefully at her home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Wednesday, February 9, 2011. She was born in Roscoe, South Dakota on July 23, 1934 to Paul and Ludvina (Grosz) Schmidt. She moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1952 and married Francis Norton Hall in Sandpoint on March 7, 1966. She was a housewife/homemaker. She loved to bake and was best known for her delicious home-made goodies. No one could make a peach pie like Betty! She enjoyed the serenity of home and the wildlife that came to know her backyard as "home". She also collected dolls that were to "look at but not touch". She enjoyed time spent traveling with her husband, Nort and each new adventure, including seventeen different cruises.
Survivors include her husband, Nort at home; a son, Jeff (Diane) Fountain and daughters Debbie (Robert) Stanley and Diane Fountain-Heilman all of Coeur d'Alene; stepsons; Ross (Maxine) Hall of El Paso, Texas, Eugene Hall of Cody, Wyoming and stepdaughter, Holly Hall of Yakima, Washington; brothers, Frank Schmidt of Coeur d'Alene, Tony Schmidt of Seattle and John Schmidt of Portland; sisters, Teresa Green of Seattle and Kay (Wayne) Kies of Pocatello; grandchildren, Ryan, Chris, Jesse, Emily, Mellisa, Nichole, Stephanie, Cameron, Eric, Johanna and Jake, and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Adam Schmidt and sister Regina Combs.
A special thank you to Dee Spilva and the nurses at Hospice who gave care and concern in her final days. The family prefers memorial donations to Hospice of North Idaho (Hospice House Fund), 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
Visitation will be Monday evening, February 14th from 5-7 P.M. at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at YATES FUNERAL HOME, 744 North 4th Street, Coeur d'Alene with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.
